Co-Treatment of Winery and Domestic Wastewaters in Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants: Analysis of Biodegradation Kinetics and Process Performance Impacts

چکیده
Winery wastewater (WWW) handling strategies often include co-treatment at municipal treatment plants (WWTPs). Despite this, definitive information regarding oxidation kinetics and process performance impacts due to is lacking. A combined Michaelis–Menten–University of Cape Town kinetic model has been found best describe the pH-inhibited aerobic biological WWW by heterotrophs in activated sludge from four WWTPs. The specific rate substrate consumption was highest biomass that had exposed (57.3 mg COD/g MLVSS·h) compared not (20.7 MLVSS·h). Bench-scale trials confirm sorption a key removal mechanism, with up 98% chemical oxygen demand 97% total organic carbon after 6 h reaction time. solids are quickly incorporated into floc may improve settleability loading rates above 75 suspended solids/L bioreactor volume expense significantly increasing observed yield. aerobic-activated system WWTPs can effectively co-treat WWW, provided limited WWTP designed accommodate seasonal loadings winery wastewater. identified mitigation measures be used co-treating facilities optimize along domestic

We investigated conventional characterization of wastewaters of the "Kullar Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant." In the study of conventional characterization; 23 composite samples, which were taken during 10 months, were used and analysed as COD, BOD5, TKN, NH3-N, SS, VSS, TP, RP, TS, Alkalinity, oil and grease, detergent, chloride parameters. For determine of the plant efficiency, 8 output g...
